The history of the family as hotel operators goes back into the middle of the 19th Century, at that time the family overtook the post office station in Mehring, and turned it into the hotel "the post office". One hundred years later, 1955 the grandfather took over and converted Moselschloesschen into the hotel with same name "Moselschloesschen". Unfortunately the popular and well-known house had to be closed in 1962, with 72 other houses due to the fact that the Mosel canal had to be built.

The father of the current owner built finally the today's Hotel Weiler, which was opened in the year 1964.

Untill today the hotel is in the family estate personally led by family Weiler. The hotel is located directly at the Mosel riverbanks. From the generous terrace you enjoy the wonderful panoramic view over the Mosel and the adjacent vineyards.

Of course our wine selection offers all kinds of wine, which made the Mosel world-famous. Moselwines of all categories, from simple "Schoppenwein" to selected premium wines.

The Restaurant

You will dine in the generous, comfortably furnished premises. The menu offers various delicious specialities from the German kitchen. From the good old German "Schnitzel" up to domestic specialities like the "Mosel gold pot" and Mosel fish. Vegetarian nutrition is ensured.
